Hanford's Historic Points of Interest
Hanford Civic Auditorium

Come visit Hanford's beautiful old Civic Auditorium. Hear the ghosts of Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, the Dorseys, Harry James, and others played there in the 30's and 40's. Entertainers weren't the only oens celebrities who appeared there. Eleanor Roosevelt, Art Linkletter, and the famous bandmaster somposer, John Philips Sousa, also came.

The City built the Auditorium in 1924 for cultural, political, and community activities. Today they use it for galas, Marine Corps Balls, home shows, health and fitness shows, quilt shows, weddings, and homecoming events. Place your reservation by calling the City of Hanford, (559) 585-2525.
