Exhibits at the Kings Art Center include a variety of media. Some attractions are oil paintings, water colors, pastels, pottery, textiles and photography. Aproximately every four weeks, gallery shows are changed, creating a continuous variety of visual arts to be viewed. Occasionally, they combine exhibits. The Kings Art Guild and Kings County Art League are the main contributors and sponsor an evening reception to introduce each new exhibit.
Besides the inviting gallery exhibits, the Kings Art Center is a "playground" for students anxious to learn to create in varieties of mediums as well as a study center for the serious art students. Classes are available through the College of the Sequoias curriculum in painting, watercolor, printmaking, photography, design, clay/sculpture.
The Center was originally the home of the Hanford Women's Club. After a history of three devastating fires and decline in membership, the Women's Club donated the building to the Kings Art Center Foundation in 1989. Thye donated it for a cultural center.
