1932 Allan Herschell Carousel

One of the true jewels of our city is the Hanford carousel. This 1932 Allan Herschell masterpiece is located in Civic Center Park on the corner of 8th and Irwin streets. Recently renovated, the Hanford carousel will give rides to thousands of children this year. The fun isn’t just for the kids though; young or old, a ride on the Hanford carousel will take you back to a time when life was simple and fun was innocent.

The Hanford carousel was moved from Visalia’s Mooney Grove Park in the mid 1980’s. Since then, the residents of Hanford have taken great care investing their time and resources in restoring it to the fantastic condition it is in today.

The Hanford carousel runs on Thursday evenings from 5:30pm to 8:30pm starting in May on through October. It also runs during special events held in Civic Center Park and is available to rent for groups of all sizes.

If you would like more information about reserving the Hanford carousel for your next special event, fill out the form below and the Hanford Conference and Visitor Agency will contact you soon.
Great News! The Carousel is now running and open to the public every Saturday through the month of August as a part of our Military appreciation program. Download the flyer below for more info.
